Ingredients

Drink Base

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 bags white tea (cleansing, new beginnings)
  • 3 1-inch cubes green bell pepper  (love, self-awareness), muddled
  • 5 black peppercorns (banish negativity), muddled
  • 1 strip lime rind (healing, love, protection), bitter white removed
  • pinch crushed red pepper (fidelity, love, fiery spice)

Mixers

Garnish

  • palmful fine-grained sea salt  (prosperity, cleansing, protection)
  • 1-2 grapefruit (zest)

Instructions

  • Boil the water and add the tea bags and aromatics, if using. Steep for five minutes. Remove aromatics and squeeze out tea bags. Stir in collagen powder and honey until dissolved and place in fridge until chilled - at least 30 minutes.
  • Zest the grapefruit, mixing the zest with a palmful of salt. Really rub the two together to incorporate the essential oils. Roll the rim of two bucket glasses in honey and then dip into the salt mixture.
  • Juice grapefruit until you have one cup of juice. Add grapefruit juice, lime juice and your tea mixture to a shaker. Add ice, shake* and strain evenly into both glasses.
  • Fill to the top with grapefruit seltzer and enjoy.

Notes

*Be sure not to skip the shaking with ice and straining step. It might be tempting to just build your drink in the glass, but doing so results in a drink that is a bit too acidic. Shaking with ice dilutes the mixture to perfect drinkability.
